Funding was obtained to cover the costs of refurbishing the Wick Playground and equipment, as follows:
UK Shared Prosperity and Wychavon Rural
(Central Gov’t, administered by Wychavon District Council) £38,500
Match Funding (from Playground Account managed by Wick P.C.) £10,000
Sky Gardens (donation) £ 6,500
Total = £55,000
The work started on January 20th 2026, and has now been completed. However, due to the wet weather the playground had to remain closed to allow it to dry and the turf to settle in. An opening ceremony was carried out on March 29th.
